Mexico launches first anti-dumping sunset review of China's steel sheet


On September 27, 2019, the Mexican Ministry of Economic Affairs issued an announcement in the official gazette, in response to the application of the Mexican company Altos Hornosde México, S.A.B.deC.V., decided to initiate the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on the steel sheet (Spanish: placadeaceroenhoja) originating in China.

The TIGIE tax numbers of the products involved are 7208.51.01, 7208.51.02, 7208.51.03, 7208.52.01, 7225.40.01 and 7225.40.02. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, and the damage investigation period is from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2019. During the investigation of this case, the 33.98% anti-dumping duties applicable to the products involved in the case in China were still valid. The resolution takes effect from the day following the release.

On October 14, 2014, Mexico issued an announcement in the official gazette to make an anti-dumping final ruling on steel sheets originating in China, and decided to impose a 33.98% anti-dumping duty on the products involved.
