What is carbon steel SS400?

SS400 is a kind of carbon steel under Japan standard(JIS G3101: Rolled steels for general structure). It is equivalent to China grade Q235 steel (also known as A3 steel). The structure steels in most standard are often classified according to tensile strength, such as Japan SS400, where 400 means that the minimum tensile strength is 400MPa. All-win Iron & Steel company can offer the SS400 .

Application of SS400 steels

Due to the moderate carbon content, the comprehensive performance is better, and the properties such as strength, plasticity and welding capability are better matched and the most widely used. It is often manufactured into wire rods, round steel, square steel, flat steel, angle steel, I-beam, channel steel, window frame steel, other steel sections and medium-thick steel plates.

SS400 steels of All-win Iron & Steel company are used in a large number of architectural and engineering structures. It is used to make rebars, factory buildings, high-voltage transmission towers, bridges, vehicles, boilers, vessels, ships etc., and SS400 steel is also used as a mechanical part that does not require high performance.
