Pressure vessel Steel plates are used in the manufacture of steam boilers, pressure vessels and other structural components for pressure vessels. This kind of steel plate is subject to certain air pressure and water pressure, as well as the different temperature conditions such as high, medium and low temperature. Therefore, the requirements for the chemical composition and quality control of this steel plate are strict, besides a certain strength and toughness, it also requires uniform material with strict limitation of harmful defects, if necessory, the special perfomance at high and low temperature have to meet the related standards.


Types of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Steel Plate

There are severial classification according to different method:

1. according to chemical components in the material, it can be divided into two types: carbon steel plate and alloy steel plate;

2. according to pressure strength of finished products, it can be divided into high, medium and low pressure steel plates;

3. according to different working circumastances, it can be divided into high temperature steels, medium temperature steels, low temperature steels and corrosion resistant steel plates
