Bulb flat steel is a medium-sized material mainly used in shipbuilding and bridge constructions. In recent years, with the rapid development of the shipbuilding industry, the demand for marine bulb flat steel is strong. Generally, larger ships and regular ships are mostly designed with marine bulb flat steel. The bulb flat steel of the same thickness and material as the connected plates is used as the aggregate (also called bone or keel).

The material of the bulb flat steel corresponds to the material of ship plate, and the bulb flat steel is divided into general strength (A grade, B grade and D grade, etc.) and high strength (AH32, AH36, DH32 and DH36, etc.). The bulb flat steel required the correspond ship classification to the shipbuilding plates.
